Although Matthew initially began his legal career representing financial institutions in real estate transactions, he ultimately followed his passion to fight for those wrongfully injured at the hands of powerful institutions. As an experienced litigator, Matthew helps individuals and families who face catastrophic and life-altering injuries stemming from medical negligence. As a result of his successful advocacy, The National Trial Lawyers have recognized Matthew as a Top 40 Under 40 Trial Attorney in 2019 and 2020 and a Maryland SuperLawyers® Rising Star every year from 2019 through 2024. Matthew’s zealous representation has resulted in multiple seven-figure verdicts as a trial attorney and the recovery of tens of millions of dollars in compensation for his clients. Matthew has also successfully advocated for his clients at the appellate level.
Matthew, born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and a Loyola Blakefield graduate, has worked tirelessly throughout his life and career to foster strong personal and professional relationships to improve the lives of those around him. Flowing from his passion for service, from 2019 through 2021, Matthew served on the Board of Directors for Mentoring Mentors, Inc., a local non-profit organization committed to providing resources to help underserved students achieve their potential.
Matthew is a graduate of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA (B.A. 2011) and the University of Baltimore, Baltimore, MD (J.D., magna cum laude, 2014). He is admitted to practice law throughout Maryland in state and federal courts.
Matthew currently resides in north Baltimore with his wife, two sons, and dog, Wilson. In addition to his professional work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, attending concerts, and supporting local restaurants and artists.
