Why did Jermaine join the WVFK&N team?
“I wanted to do work that I can look back on and be proud of and to make an impact in the lives of people who need it most. When I represented national and international corporations, they had no interest in connecting with me, knowing who I was, or whether I believed in their mission. I was simply one of their attorneys—reduced to numbers on lists of billables. The work wasn’t meaningful to me, and I made the decision to leave that practice to work for a firm where I can make a palpable difference in the lives of the people who need it most.
People affected by medical negligence—especially babies, sometimes have their lives dramatically impacted, perhaps even devastated, by the negligence of medical professionals. I have seen how much of a difference representation can make to these children and their families. That’s why I am always motivated to review their cases in minute detail—regardless of the time of day, volume, or complexity. I am extremely passionate about working on these cases because I know I can give our clients a bold voice that they might not otherwise have.
I am proud of the work we do at WVFK&N. We do great work, and we do it for the right reasons.”
