Associate Attorney

Career History

George P. Shalloway is an Associate Attorney at Wais, Vogelstein, Forman, Koch & Norman, LLC, specializing in medical malpractice and birth injury law. He joined the firm in the fall of 2025.

Before joining Wais, Vogelstein, Forman, Koch & Norman, Mr. Shalloway served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Joanie Raymond Brubaker in the Frederick County Circuit Court. His work in the court system provided him with valuable insight into legal strategy and judicial decision-making.

While in law school, Mr. Shalloway gained diverse legal experience through internships with the Federal Maritime Commission, where he served as a legal intern for Commissioner Carl Bentzel; the U.S. Maritime Administration Office of General Counsel; and the Department of Homeland Security Office of the Principal Legal Advisor. In these roles, he focused on regulatory compliance and federal enforcement matters, further strengthening his legal writing and analytical skills.

As a student attorney in the Survivors of Violence Clinic at the University of Maryland, Mr. Shalloway represented clients in immigration matters, including U-Visa and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status cases. This client-facing experience fostered his deep sense of empathy and commitment to client advocacy — qualities that now define his practice in medical malpractice and birth injury law.

Mr. Shalloway’s well-rounded legal background, combined with his dedication to client-centered advocacy, makes him an asset to the team at Wais, Vogelstein, Forman, Koch & Norman. He is eager to apply his skills to serve families affected by medical errors, particularly in the complex and sensitive area of birth injury litigation.
